Tutorial Upgrade / Downgrade OS

Program Yang Dibutuhkan :

- BlackBerry Desktop Manager (DM)
- BBSAK
- BBHybridsTool
- OS yang mau diinstall

Persiapan OS :

- Install DM dan BBSAK ke komputer/laptop
- Install OS Official
- Install OS Hybrid (optional)
- Shrink menggunakan BBHybridsTool (pilih Select All kemudian uncheck yang penting-penting saja, diantaranya : BlackBerry Maps, Event Log Viewer, MemoPad dan Ringtones)

Persiapan Backup :

- Matikan mobile network
- Clear cache browser (Tekan menu – Options – Cache Operations)
- Clear recent updates BBM
- Clear chat group BBM
- Delete share picture BBM (optional)
- Cleaning memory (Options – Security Options – Advanced Security Options – Memory Cleaning – Tekan menu – Clean Now)
- Reboot (alt+aA+del)

Backup Data :

- Pastikan mobile network masih off setelah reboot
- Backup menggunakan DM
- Backup data yang penting-penting saja :
* Address Book – All
* AutoText
* BlackBerry Messenger dan BBGroups (BBM)
* Bluetooth Options
* Browser Bookmarks
* Browser Options
* Calendar – All
* Memos
* Options
* FileScout Preferences dan FileScout TypeRegistry (FileScout)
* DocsToGoCommonPrefs, PDFToGoPrefs, SheetToGoPrefs, SlideshowToGoPrefs dan WordToGoPrefs (Docs To Go)
* Fancy Characters (FancyChar)
* Lain-lain tergantung BlackBerry masing-masing

Backup 3rd Party Applications :

- Backup menggunakan DM
- Copy folder “PIN” dari temporary direktori ke tempat aman
Windows 7 : C:\Users\”nama user account”\AppData\Local\Temp\”PIN”
Windows XP : C:\Documents and Settings\”nama user account”\Local Settings\Temp\”PIN”
- Setelah selesai tutup DM

Install OS :

- Wipe blackberry menggunakan BBSAK

- Install OS (tanpa 3rd Party Applications) lewat Loader.exe (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe)
- Centang program-program yang akan diinstall

Restore 3rd Party Applications :

- Restore 3rd Party Applications lewat Loader.exe
- Klik “Add” kemudian arahkan ke file “PIN”.jad yang berada di dalam folder “PIN” yang dicopy tadi

Restore Data :

- Restore data menggunakan DM

- Reboot (alt+aA+del) / Pullbatt

Finishing :

- Hidupkan mobile network
- Send Service Book
